Certified Medical Coder/Health Information
Management Specialist- Full time (open till filled)
Responsible for accurate
and timely coding and data entry of medical records. Responsible for
planning, organizing and managing various functions of medical
records management. Must ensure confidentiality of all medical
records information and compliance with privacy laws. Will
facilitate the delivery of quality health care by facilitating
medical records retention and retrieval. Will assist in transfer of
paper documentation to electronic format. Prepare reports for IHS,
other grants and funding purposes..
Requirements:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); successful
completion of Medical Coding Program; 3 to 5 years related
experience to include Health Information Management, HIPAA
compliance, and IHS or other clinical reporting; minimum 2 years
medical coding experience, ICD and CPT; minimum 2 years experience
with electronic medical records, preferably RPMS-EHR.; experience
with private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare programs.
Other requirements include:
HIPAA Training, 10 Key, must type at least 45 WPM, RHIT or
RHIA-certified preferred, and be familiar with medical terminology.
Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment and
random drug testing.

Staff Physician-
28 hours per week (Open till filled)
PURPOSE: Physicians who are hired by Snoqualmie Tribal Health Services will maintain a high standard of medical care. Their duties and expectations will be defined by the needs of the Tribe and the surrounding community.

Board certification or board eligible with M.D. or D.O. degree in
either family medicine or internal medicine, and an unrestricted
license to practice in Washington State
·
Clinical experience that will allow independent function within the
scope of practice
·
Ability to evaluate and diagnose by obtaining skilled medical
history, exam, and appropriate testing to develop a treatment plan
in an ambulatory setting that includes patient education and
follow-up care
·
High level, culturally appropriate patient and staff communication
skills
·
Experience working with under-served communities including American
Indians/Alaska Natives
·
Ability to refer patients per protocol; manage and coordinate
patient care among tribal clinical team and specialists
·
Ability to appropriately code for services/procedures
provided
·
Experience with or ability to work with electronic health
record and active use and maintenance of an email address
·
Prompt, legible, signed documentation within 24 hours of written or
electronic health record entries
·
Participation in the rotating weekly after-hours call schedule
·
Participation in bi-weekly medical staff meetings with 50% or
greater attendance
·
Participation in peer review process at least quarterly with
documented efforts to improve patient care based upon results
·
Maintenance of unrestricted medical license, DEA certification, ACLS
certification, Board certification and continuing medical education,
with responsibility to self-direct one’s learning.
Annual proof of such certification to the Medical Director
will be provided. The
Tribe may reimburse for DEA and medical license updates.

Completion of the Delineation of Privileges documents and adherence
to those office procedures for which one has privileges
·
Ability to confirm health status to assure performance with all the
mental and physical functions related to clinical privileges
·
Conduct consistent with respectful and ethical behavior of
the medical profession that elicits positive feedback from the
community and co-workers and maintains a good professional
reputation
·
Ability to obtain malpractice insurance based upon professional
history, and to be able to be credentialed by third party insurers
·
Ability to maintain hospital privileges at one or more local
facilities
This position provides services for woman and children whom have
recently experienced domestic violence. Job duties are held
within a domestic violence shelter setting. The position of
job duties entail: intensive case management per family,
ability to maintain safety within domestic violence shelter,
implementing random urinalysis of clients, ability to motivate and
support client’s awareness of domestic violence and what are
the mutigenerational impacts of domestic violence, treatment
planning of safety and life goals, support client in court processes
(i.e., attaining restraining orders and/or support with any court
processes), that are involved in client’s life (i.e., CPS,
CWS, legal or criminal proceedings); ability to support and find
resources/referrals for client/family needs.
Requirements:
BA in social work/human resource services.
Other requirements include:
Two years related experience working with women and children whom
have experienced domestic violence and/or sexually assault.
Experience working within Native American community and with Native
American families. Must be able to pass a background check and
pre-employment and random drug testing. Must have valid Washington
State License during duration of employment. Must be able to pass
pre-employment and random drug testing. Must maintain current CPR,
First Aid and TB immunization with valid documents. Must maintain
confidentiality of clients. Must be able to successfully pass the
Tribe’s defensive drivers class. Must be proficient with computers
and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
SBH Medicaid Transportation Provider- Full-Time (closes
7/22/11)
Provides adequate in-community support for Snoqualmie Health and
Human Service Program specifically transportation for Medicaid
eligible program clients. This position is a full time
position supervised by the Snoqualmie Tribe Behavioral Health
Program.
Requirements:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); BA in
related field is desired.
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Other requirements include:
Must be able to pass background check.
Must be drug free and pass random drug testing.
Must maintain confidentiality per HIPPA.
Must demonstrate ability to communicate respectfully and work well
with children, families, staff and community.
Demonstrate ability to work with diverse tribal groups or
communities.
Knowledge of American Indian culture, history, and healing
ceremonies.
Current CPR, First Aid and TB Immunization with valid documents.
Maintain a valid Washington State driver's license.
Must be able to successfully pass the Tribe's Defensive Drivers
Class.
Must be able to complete and pass FBI Background check.
Must complete and pass Washington State Motor Vehicle Background Report.
Proficient in
computer skills such as MS Word, MS Excel, and the Internet.
