Snoqualmie Behavioral Health recognizes that it is important for Native families and children to connect with their culture. To
help facilitate this we work in conjunction with the Snoqualmie Canoe Family and hold regular cultural gatherings on Fridays, Saturdays and during school breaks.

On Fridays, there is a Lushootseed language class and drumming from 6pm-9pm. On Saturday's and during School Vacation Camps we do a variety of different cultural and contemporary activities for children and their families. These include, but are not limited to: cedar weaving, carving, moccasin making, drum making, field trips to the zoo, state parks, Snoqualmie Pass, and sports such as snowshoeing, skateboarding, and hiking.

We realize that our families come from a variety of native and non-native cultures. As such, we strive to bring variety to the various activities we do and emphasize things that are common to all Native peoples.
